Qualified Social Worker, Family and Friends Assessment Team

Pay rate: £42.10 per hour

Vitalis is recruiting an experienced Social Worker for a Family and Friends Team in Liverpool.


The Family and Friends / Kinship Assessment Fostering service is a stable team that works well together to ensure the safety of children and suitable alternative family placements for the most vulnerable children in Liverpool. The team operates under close supervision from a supportive, permanent management tier. Due to an increase in the looked after children population, we are seeking 2 qualified social workers with the skills and experience to complete viability reports and family and friends assessments.


Requirements:
  • Experienced social worker in fostering, preferably with safeguarding experience
  • Experience in completing form C fostering assessments
  • Experience presenting assessments to the fostering panel
  • Experience completing viability, kinship, and SGO assessments
  • Good working knowledge of fostering regulations/legislation and National Minimum Standards
  • Ability to work within court timescales
  • Ability to collaborate closely with local authority child care and legal teams
