Qualified Social Worker - East Locality Team (Adults)

Come join the fantastic East Locality social work team! We are a vibrant community team based in Aylesbury.

We are fortunate to have excellent transport links, including easy access to the M25, making us commutable from Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, and Bedfordshire. We are also outside of the ULEZ zone.

Main duties of the job

As a social worker at Buckinghamshire Council, you will ensure high standards of service for residents. Your responsibilities include:

  • Acting as an ambassador and leader in social work, internally and externally.
  • Providing high-quality casework, managing a caseload within supervision frameworks appropriate to case complexity and your experience.
  • Complying with legislation, statutory guidance, and local policies.
  • Delivering outstanding support and regularly monitoring and reviewing care and support plans.
  • Demonstrating competence across all areas of the Professional Capabilities Framework of Social Work.

  • Social Work Advanced Practitioner or Qualified Social Worker
  • Occupational Therapist with a minimum of a 2:1 BSc degree or COT Diploma, or equivalent
  • Successful completion of a qualifying year and at least one year of post-qualifying experience working with adults
  • Full driving license and access to a vehicle
  • Registration with Social Work England or HCPC
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Flexibility to work across seven days as needed
