Qualified Social Worker - Child Protection

Location: North East

Pay rate: £35 per hour

We are seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join our Child Protection Team. In this role within a local authority in the North East, you will work in a busy, supportive team assessing and working with service users and families, intervening early to provide support. You will deliver person-centred, safe, and effective social care services, making assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions based on your professional knowledge and experience. Your excellent communication skills will help you establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to meet their needs.

You will be committed to ensuring positive and sustainable outcomes for children, striving to provide the best possible results and supporting children and families to thrive. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable efficiently.

Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
• Experience working with children and families, including vulnerable groups
• Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking approach
• Knowledge of Child Protection legislation and issues
• Continuous improvement mindset to achieve the best outcomes
• Strong mediation and negotiation skills
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with children and families
• Committed to high-quality service delivery
• Experience working in a multi-disciplinary, interagency environment
• 4+ years qualified
