Qualified Social Worker

Location: North Wales

Pay rate: £41 per hour

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Social Worker to join a dedicated Court team. In this role, you will focus on 6 cases within a Chiedza looked after POD and undertake specific work within the court arena. You will discharge the authority’s responsibilities under the Children Act 1989 and other relevant legislation concerning children in need, particularly those requiring protection and those looked after by the authority.

Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, and guided by the values and principles of social care, you will support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and decisions about the most appropriate interventions. Applying your significant Social Work experience and excellent communication skills, you will establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to ensure services meet identified needs.

You will be committed to ensuring positive and sustainable outcomes from your interventions. Using best practices, you will strive to provide the best outcomes for children. Most importantly, you will have a passion for supporting children and their families to thrive and flourish. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and to operate as efficiently as possible.

Perfect candidate will be:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Experienced in working with children and families, including vulnerable groups.
  • Experience working within Court, Children in Need, and Child Protection.
  • Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking in approach.
  • Knowledgeable of Child Protection legislation and understanding of child protection issues.
  • Committed to continuous improvement to provide the best outcomes for children.
  • Able to use excellent mediation and negotiation skills on behalf of service users.
  • Highly skilled at building meaningful relationships with children and families to engage them in assessments and plans.
  • Dedicated to providing high-quality services to users.
  • Experienced in working within a multi-disciplinary, interagency context.
  • Minimum 2 years of qualified experience.

  • Manage an agreed caseload.
