Randstad are recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker to join Wirral Council's Connected Carers Fostering Team. This is a full-time role, offering a fantastic pay rate of £28 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Dealing with complex assessments.
• Assessing and approving relatives and friends as foster carers.
• Approving temporary foster carers when immediate placement is needed.
• Securing plans of permanency for children and contributing to the wider offer for cared for children.
• Involved in multi-agency working and collaboration with the cared for children's team.
• Experience and knowledge in the Fostering Minimum standards and The Fostering Regulation Services (England) 2011.
• Providing support, supervision, and training to foster carers alongside managing your own caseload.
• Ensuring children and young people are matched with foster carers who meet their care needs.
• Possessing the right values and enthusiasm for strengths-based social work with children and families.

Requirements:

• Social Work Degree or equivalent
• Current registration with Social Work England
• Enhanced DBS

Experience:

• Experience working with children
