Job Description:

We are looking for experienced and passionate Social Workers to join the Community Mental Health Team. Ideally, you will have 2-3 years’ experience within Adults Social Care. You will ensure best practice, focus on solving problems before they escalate, and meet the needs of vulnerable adults, reducing harm. The role involves a mix of office work and visiting clients in hospitals and homes. Some mental health experience, report writing, attending Mental Health Tribunals, and knowledge of WCCIS are advantageous. The role supports social care legislation and local government requirements, aiming to deliver person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. You will make assessments, establish relationships, and ensure positive outcomes for service users.

Ideal candidate:

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England
• Experience with children and families, including vulnerable groups
• Experience with Court, Children in Need, and Child Protection
• Supporting CIN and Child Protection planning, pre-proceedings, and court proceedings
• Understanding factors impacting children, including abuse and neglect
• Conducting Child & Family Assessments with effective analysis and planning
• Effective direct work with children and families
• Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking approach
• Knowledge of Child Protection legislation
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Excellent mediation and negotiation skills
• Ability to build meaningful relationships with children and families
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary, interagency environment
• At least 2 years qualified
