We are looking for experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join a dedicated children with disabilities team. As part of this CWD team, you will handle Children in Need, Child Protection, and Proceedings cases. You will have a passion for making a difference to our children. This role includes flexible working – as long as you complete your visits and statutory requirements – you will have control over your own diary. Throughout all that you do, you will ensure that you uphold and champion best practice.
As part of this South East dedicated Fostering Team, you will work in a busy and supportive environment assessing and working with children and families, intervening where children need support to provide help at an earlier stage. Fostering work involves direct engagement with children and their families, partnering with agencies including the police and health to ensure the best outcomes with sustainable positive change. The service maintains strong links with our Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help colleagues to promote community support when social care involvement is no longer necessary.
Working in accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, you will support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you’ll make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions.
