Are you a dedicated and experienced Qualified Social Worker ready to support children through some of the most important stages of their journey? Join a compassionate and high-performing Children Looked After (CLA) Team in East Riding of Yorkshire, where you’ll help shape the future for children in care — including those preparing for independence through the Leaving Care Pathway.

Your Role Will Include:

  • Managing a complex and varied CLA caseload, ensuring children receive the care, stability and planning they deserve.
  • Completing CIN reviews and new assessments to determine whether cases require escalation or de-escalation.
  • Working on Children in Care assessments including those involving Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
  • Maintaining strong multi-agency relationships and clear, timely communication.
  • Supporting young people approaching adulthood — ensuring clear transitions into the Leaving Care pathway.
  • Upholding statutory duties and delivering person-centred care plans that promote safety, stability and aspiration.

What You’ll Bring:

We’re looking for a confident, compassionate, and motivated practitioner who is:

  • Registered with Social Work England
  • Experienced in Children Looked After, CIN, CP, and court work
  • Skilled in risk assessment, care planning, and multi-agency collaboration
  • Passionate about permanence, outcomes, and future planning
  • Knowledgeable of child protection legislation and safeguarding frameworks
  • Excellent at building relationships with children, families, and professionals
  • Flexible, creative, and ready to adapt to change
  • 4+ years post-qualified experience preferred

You Will Also:

  • Use your professional knowledge to make full assessments of risk and care needs
  • Manage your own caseload with support from an experienced management team
  • Create and review care plans that reflect diversity and promote empowerment
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to unqualified staff and students
  • Champion best practices and contribute to service improvement
