The Role: As a valued member of the Children in Care Team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the safety, stability and well-being of children and young people. This is a fast-paced but highly supportive team that values early intervention and person-centred practice.
You’ll work closely with children and families, using your professional expertise to assess needs, manage risk, and make impactful decisions. With a
capped caseload of 18,
hybrid working options, and a
supportive manager, you'll have the time and guidance to do your best work.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Undertaking full assessments of risk, protection, and care needs
- Leading on Child & Family Assessments with strong analytical and planning skills
- Creating and delivering individual care plans that promote safety, empowerment and dignity
- Providing direct support to children and families through CIN, CP, court, and pre-proceedings work
- Working collaboratively with partner agencies to meet identified needs
- Always striving for the best possible outcomes for children
What We’re Looking For:
Qualified Social Worker (registered with Social Work England)
Proven experience with children and families, especially in CIN, CP, or Court settings
Strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, abuse and neglect
Excellent communication, mediation, and engagement skills
Able to build and sustain meaningful relationships with children, families, and professionals
Creative, flexible, and reflective in practice
Knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, and best practice
A strong commitment to continuous improvement and achieving positive outcomes
