Qualified Social Worker – Child in Need Team

Pay rate: £39.96 per hour

Contract role

Vitalis is recruiting an experienced Social Worker to join the Child in Need Team in Cardiff.

The role involves ensuring the timely identification of children in need, children at risk, children with disabilities, children in care, care leavers, and homeless young people, in accordance with Cardiff Children’s Service criteria, legal requirements, policies, procedures, and government initiatives. The Social Worker will assist individuals in resolving difficulties, enhancing independence and coping skills through telephone discussions, and signposting to relevant statutory and voluntary services. The role also includes contributing to the development of systems to ensure service quality and working collaboratively with statutory and independent sector colleagues to promote a multi-agency approach and empower clients.
