Job Title: Qualified Social Worker – Bath and North East Somerset – First Response Team
Location: Bath and North East Somerset
Rate: £38 per hour
An exciting job role has recently become available at the Bath and North East Somerset Council. They are looking for a new member for their First Response Team.
What will your responsibilities be?
You will take personal responsibility for continuing professional development and maintaining performance levels. You will manage your time effectively and respond flexibly to service needs. You will conduct assessments under the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005, working directly with individuals, families, and professionals. Taking charge of Care Planning and offering short-term case management to adults requiring care and support will be part of your role. You will participate in Multi-Disciplinary meetings and manage initial Safeguarding enquiries. Additionally, you will provide support and cover for the Team Manager and/or Principal Manager. Actively participating in the performance management system, including supervision, PAR, team meetings, and service reviews, will be part of your role. You will follow departmental health and safety procedures and develop skills through work experience in various divisional situations, such as secondments, job rotation, and shadowing. Contributing to information management processes and supporting social work students on placement under the direction of the Principal or Practice Manager, acting as a workplace supervisor or Practice Teacher if appropriately trained, will also be expected. You need to understand and integrate into practice the key policies of the council in relation to social care with adults, especially multi-disciplinary working, integration, and whole family approaches.

To be successful in this role, you must have Social Work England registration, be eligible to work in the UK, hold a full UK driving licence, and have post-qualified experience. A degree level or equivalent qualification in Social Work is also required.
