Qualified Social Worker - Assessment

Location: Yorkshire

Pay rate: £35 per hour

We are seeking experienced and passionate Qualified Social Workers to join a dedicated Assessment Team for a local authority in West Yorkshire. You will work in a busy, supportive environment, assessing and working with children and families, intervening where children need support to provide earlier help.

In accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, guided by the values and principles of social care, you will support the delivery of person-centred, safe, and effective social care services. Your professional knowledge and experience will enable you to make assessments and decisions about appropriate interventions. Using your social work expertise and excellent communication skills, you will establish and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to ensure needs are met.

You will be committed to achieving positive, sustainable outcomes through your interventions, striving to provide the best for children. Your passion for supporting children and families to thrive and flourish is essential. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and operate efficiently.

Ideal Candidate:

• Registered with Social Work England as a Qualified Social Worker
• Experienced in working with children and vulnerable groups
• Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking
• Knowledgeable of Child Protection legislation and issues
• Dedicated to continuous improvement for children's outcomes
• Excellent mediation and negotiation skills
• Skilled at building relationships with children and families
• Committed to high-quality service
• Experienced in multi-disciplinary, interagency work
• 4+ years qualified experience

Key Responsibilities:
