What you will do:

  1. Provide a high-quality and comprehensive social work service to adults, carers, and the community in accordance with statutory guidelines and the Authority's policies.
  2. Manage a diverse caseload that entails challenging and complex cases, including extensive assessments and risk management.
  3. Conduct Community Care and Best Interest Assessments to devise innovative and cost-efficient solutions.
  4. Lead safeguarding investigations within multi-agency procedures, maintaining the wellbeing of the service users.
  5. Utilise a person-centred approach to build and sustain constructive relationships with service users, their families, and carers to enable informed decision-making.
  6. Promote independence and proactive early intervention, playing a crucial role in conflict resolution.
  7. Contribute to the screening of new referrals, working in collaboration with court systems to secure and enforce court orders.
  8. Partake in the development of service practices and undertake special casework on behalf of other teams.
  9. Engage in interdisciplinary meetings and act as a representative of the Authority, upholding professional standards and supporting service plans.
  10. Play an active role as a Practice Educator Level 2, and if qualified, participate in the Approved Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) rota.
