We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Qualified Social Worker to join the Adults Learning Disability Team in Rotherham . Key Responsibilities:

Conduct Care Act Assessments and develop comprehensive support plans.

Perform Mental Capacity Assessments and make best interest decisions .

Apply a strong understanding of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) and support s.21A Court of Protection work.

Engage in Section 42 safeguarding enquiries , ensuring legal and procedural compliance.

Collaborate with community-based adult social work teams to support people with learning disabilities.

Use Continuing Health Care (CHC) Checklists and Decision Support Tools as appropriate.

Carry out home visits , with a requirement to be onsite in Rotherham three days per week .

About You - Essential Requirements:

HCPC-registered Qualified Social Worker with post-qualification experience.

Proven background in adult social care, particularly with older adults or individuals with physical, cognitive, or learning disabilities .

In-depth knowledge of the Care Act , DoLS , Mental Capacity Act , and safeguarding procedures .

Skilled in s.21A court work and familiar with CHC protocols .

Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Willingness and ability to travel locally for home visits .
