Qualified Social Worker

Adults

Location: Merseyside

Pay rate: £46 per hour

Our client is looking for Qualified Adult Social Workers to join the Adults Team. We are seeking experienced and passionate Social Workers. All candidates must have previous experience in Adult Social Care and a good understanding of relevant legislation such as the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Human Rights Act, and Mental Health Act.

This team handles Hospital Transfer and Discharge, referrals, and complex safeguarding cases. Successful candidates will work across two hospitals within the Authority, conducting Care Act assessments, safeguarding work, multi-agency collaboration, and duty functions.

You will support in delivering person-centered, safe, and effective social care services, making assessments and decisions about interventions using your professional knowledge. Establishing and maintaining relationships with service users and agencies is crucial to meet needs effectively.

Our ideal candidate will be:

• Registered with Social Work England
• Qualified with SW, CSS, DipSW, or a Social Work Degree
• Experienced in Social Services or voluntary agencies
• Committed to continuous improvement and high-quality outcomes
• Skilled in mediation and negotiation
• Experienced with diverse client groups and multi-disciplinary teams
• Knowledgeable of relevant legislation
• Having 4+ years of qualification

In this role, you will:

• Assess risks, protection, and social care needs
• Manage a caseload
• Use communication skills to achieve outcomes
• Develop individual care plans promoting dignity and empowerment
• Support and advise unqualified staff and students
