Pay rate: £46 per hour

Are you an experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker? We are looking for dedicated professionals to join our Child Protection & Children in Need team. In this role, you will work in a busy, supportive environment assessing and working with children and families, intervening where children need support, and providing earlier help to more children.

Your work will involve direct assessment with children and families, collaborating with agencies such as police and health services to ensure the best outcomes and sustainable positive change. The service maintains strong links with our Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help colleagues to promote community support when social care involvement is no longer necessary.

In accordance with social care legislation and local government requirements, and guided by social care values, you will support the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Using your professional knowledge and experience, you will make assessments and determine appropriate interventions. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to build and maintain relationships with service users and other agencies to meet their needs.

You will be committed to achieving positive, sustainable results through your interventions. Perfect candidate will be:

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Experienced in working with children and families, including vulnerable groups.
• Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking.
• Knowledgeable of Child Protection legislation and issues.
• Dedicated to continuous improvement for better outcomes.
• Excellent mediation and negotiation skills.
• Skilled in building relationships with children and families.
• Committed to high-quality service provision.
• Experienced in multidisciplinary, interagency work.
• Relevant management experience.
• 4+ years qualified.

In this role you will:

• Assess risks, protection, and social care needs.
• Manage an agreed caseload.
• Use specialist communication skills to achieve outcomes.
• Develop individual care plans respecting diversity and promoting dignity.
• Support and advise unqualified staff and students.
