Pay rate: £46 per hour

Are you an experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker? We are looking for dedicated professionals to join our Child Protection & Children in Need team. In this role, you will work in a busy, supportive environment assessing and working with children and families, intervening when children need support. Your work will involve direct assessment with children and families, and collaboration with agencies such as police and health services to achieve positive, sustainable outcomes. The service promotes strong links with our Integrated Prevention and Earliest Help colleagues to support community-based assistance when social care involvement ends.

Following social care legislation and local government standards, you will support the delivery of person-centered, safe, and effective social care services. Your professional judgment will guide assessments and intervention strategies. Using your social work expertise and excellent communication skills, you will build and maintain relationships with service users and partner agencies to meet their needs effectively.

You will be committed to achieving positive, sustainable results and continuously improving outcomes for children. Your passion for supporting children and families to thrive and flourish is essential. Our priority is to protect the vulnerable and work efficiently.

Ideal Candidate:
  • Registered with Social Work England as a Qualified Social Worker
  • Experienced working with children and vulnerable groups
  • Creative, flexible, and proactive in approach
  • Knowledgeable of Child Protection legislation and issues
  • Dedicated to continuous improvement for children's outcomes
  • Excellent mediation and negotiation skills
  • Skilled in building meaningful relationships with children and families
  • Committed to high-quality service delivery
  • Experienced in multi-disciplinary, interagency work
  • Relevant management experience
  • At least 4 years post-qualification experience
