Qualifications

Job description

Main duties of the job

As a Social Worker, you will manage a complex caseload and be responsible for social care assessments, risk assessments, facilitate group activities, and contribute to ICR meetings, supporting service users to make viable plans for their future. You will report to the Lead Social Worker, manage internal investigations, liaise with home authorities during admission and discharge, and have access to training opportunities to support your career growth.

Job responsibilities
  • Manage referrals to Local Authorities in line with safeguarding procedures
  • Collaborate closely with MAPPA
  • Present reports in formal settings such as First Tier Tribunals and Hospital Managers Hearings
  • Educate hospital staff on safeguarding matters
  • Complete annual social care reassessments within the CPA framework
  • Facilitate access to welfare, housing, advocacy, and support services
  • Participate in 1:1 supervision sessions
Requirements
  • Social Work England registration
  • Completed ASYE programme
  • At least 2 years post-qualifying experience
  • Experience in Forensic, Criminal Justice, or Mental Health settings
