Pay rate: £40 per hour

We are looking for experienced and passionate Qualified Social Worker to work in the Adoption Team based in North West. In this role, you will be committed to providing an effective child-centred service to children in need of support and protection. You will contribute to service strategies, policies, and procedures as required, working within the framework of legislation, council policies, and procedures to support children, young people, and their families, aiming to improve their well-being and promote independence.

You’ll be committed to ensuring positive and sustainable results of your interventions. Using best practices, you’ll strive to achieve the best outcomes for children. Most importantly, you’ll have a passion for supporting children and their families to thrive and flourish. Our priority is to protect the most vulnerable and to operate as efficiently as possible.

Perfect candidate will be:
  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Experienced in working with children and families, including vulnerable groups.
  • Creative, flexible, and forward-thinking in approach.
  • Knowledgeable of Child Protection legislation and child protection issues.
  • Committed to continuous improvement to provide the best outcomes for families.
  • Able to use excellent mediation and negotiation skills on behalf of service users.
  • Skilled at building meaningful relationships with clients to engage them in assessments and plans.
  • Dedicated to providing high-quality services to users.
  • Knowledge of legal frameworks, including the 1989 Children Act, Children Act 2004, Adoption Regulations, and National Minimum Standards for Adoption.
  • Experienced in working within a multi-disciplinary, interagency environment.
  • 3+ years qualified experience.
In this role, you will:
  • Use your skills, knowledge, and experience to assess risks, protection, and social care needs.
  • Manage an agreed caseload.
  • Employ specialist communication skills to achieve optimal outcomes for service users.
  • Develop individual care plans considering diversity, dignity, and empowerment.
  • Provide advice and support to unqualified staff and students to aid their development.
