Job Description:

Barnet are currently looking for an experienced social worker to support with statutory care and support planning undertaken by the team to meet high referral volumes.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct or support individual assessments or facilitate self-assessments using appropriate assessment tools and techniques to establish clear, relevant, proportionate, cost-effective, and appropriate options for the individual.
  • Based on structured assessments and in line with the enablement approach, plan and set up personalized, outcome-led packages of support that maximize long-term independence and choice, reducing ongoing support needs from health and social care.
  • Conduct Mental Capacity Act/best interest assessments in line with statutory guidance, ensuring adults are given opportunities to demonstrate capacity whenever possible.

What we are looking for in a Social Worker:

  • Social Work England registration
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Post-qualified experience
  • Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
  • Twice weekly payroll
