Liquid Personnel is currently looking for an experienced social worker to support with statutory care and support planning undertaken by the team to meet high referrals volume.

What will your responsibilities be?

You will take personal responsibility for continuing professional development and maintaining performance levels. You will manage your time effectively and respond flexibly to service needs. You will conduct or support individual assessments or facilitate self-assessments using the appropriate assessment tools and techniques to establish clear, relevant, proportionate, cost-effective, and appropriate options for the individual. Based on individual structured assessments and in line with the enablement approach, you will plan and set up appropriate personalized and outcome-led packages of support that maximize long-term independence and choice and minimize ongoing support from health and social care. Additionally, you will conduct Mental Capacity Act/best interest assessments in line with statutory guidance, ensuring adults are provided with the opportunity to demonstrate capacity wherever possible. You will provide support and cover for the Team Manager and/or Principal Manager. Actively participating in the performance management system, including supervision, PAR, team meetings, and service reviews, will be part of your role. You will follow departmental health and safety procedures and develop skills through work experience in various divisional situations, such as secondments, job rotation, and shadowing. Contributing to information management processes and supporting social work students on placement under the direction of the Principal or Practice Manager, acting as a workplace supervisor or Practice Teacher if appropriately trained, will also be expected. You need to understand and integrate into practice the key policies of the council in relation to social care with adults, especially multi-disciplinary working, integration, and whole family approaches.

Benefits of the role:

  • Hybrid working available
  • Diverse caseload
  • Supportive team

Qualifications and Experiences:

To be successful in this role, you must have Social Work England registration, be eligible to work in the UK, hold a qualification in Social Work at degree level, and have post-qualified experience.
