About the School

Aspire People are working with a forward-thinking and nurturing SEN school that caters for secondary-aged pupils with a diverse range of needs, including Autism, SEMH (Social Emotional, Mental Health) challenges, and demonstrate strong behavioural needs. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a role that combines resilience, student-led learning and positivity.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering a holistic approach to learning focusing on behaviour support alongside academic goals. The main focus is to create a positive environment for the students with a goal to increase engagement and self-regulation to prepare them for adulthood.

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering lessons tailored to individual learning needs
  • Creating and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Supporting pupils to develop literacy, numeracy, communication, and life skills
  • Creating a nurturing and structured classroom environment
  • Monitoring, assessing, and reporting on pupil progress
  • Leading and supporting a classroom team, including Teaching Assistants
  • Building strong relationships with families, carers, and wider professionals
About You

We're looking for a committed and compassionate teacher who has:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or equivalent - essential)
  • Experience working in a SEN, Primary, or Secondary settings
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and child development
  • The ability to differentiate teaching for a wide range of abilities and needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing approach (essential)
  • A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
  • Passion for working with children with complex social and emotional needs
