Job summary

Aspire People are seeking a Qualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive education team. The role focuses on supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs to access learning and build confidence.

The successful candidate will work one-to-one and in small groups, collaborating with teachers and specialists to create an inclusive, safeguarding-minded learning environment and to promote the wellbeing and independence of pupils.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
• Experience with children or young people, preferably SEN.
• Caring, patient and supportive approach.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to support pupils with a range of additional needs.
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to pupils.
• Assist pupils with learning and development.

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Qualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join our supportive education team.

The Role

The successful candidate will support children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to access learning, develop their confidence and achieve their individual goals.

Essential Requirements

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience working with children or young people, preferably within an SEN setting
• A caring, patient and supportive approach
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to support pupils with a range of additional needs
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
