Job summary

Childbase Partnership Ltd in Cambridge is looking for a Qualified Relief Nursery Practitioner on a permanent, 0-hours/week role that runs across 52 weeks a year. Shifts are varied, typically between 08:00 and 18:00, Monday to Friday, at Edwinstowe Day Nursery.

As part of our employee-owned team, you will support safeguarding, contribute to learning via planned activities, and help children thrive with EYFS guidance.

Qualifications

• Qualified early years professional with a DfE approved qualification at level 2 or above.
• EYFS knowledge to plan activities and contribute to learning journeys.
• Safeguarding-focused with commitment to child welfare.
• Collaborative team player with strong communication with children, parents and colleagues.

Role: Qualified Relief Nursery Practitioner.

Location: Edwinstowe Day Nursery | Cambridge | CB2 7EB.

Contract: Permanent | 0 hours/week | 52 weeks/year.

Working pattern: Varied, ad-hoc shifts between 08:00-18:00, Monday-Friday.

Salary: £13.50-£14.79 per hour.

About You

• You are a qualified early years professional: You hold a DfE approved early years qualification at level 2 or above.
• You are passionate about inspiring children: Your knowledge of child development, and ideally your EYFS knowledge, will enable you to implement engaging activities that have been planned by the Key Person to empower children to learn through play and exploration; you will contribute to observations for the children’s learning journeys.
• You are an advocate for safeguarding: You will ensure every child feels safe, valued, and happy and their well-being is promoted.
• You are collaborative: You enjoy working in partnership with others, and can effectively communicate and build strong and positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
