Job description

Secondary schools throughout the Bristol/North Somerset/South Gloucestershire area are looking to appoint confident and enthusiastic fully qualified teachers. We are seeking candidates with full teaching qualifications who are eager to start in a school environment. There are roles available in a variety of schools across the South West region, covering many different subjects for fully qualified teachers.

The Role of a Qualified Teacher
  1. As a qualified teacher, you will be responsible for setting, planning, and marking work in accordance with the school's guidelines, ensuring work is carried out to the best of students' abilities.
  2. You will manage classroom behaviour while supporting students with their work and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  3. De-escalate classroom situations appropriately, ensuring safeguarding procedures are always followed.
  4. Collect and return student work at the end of lessons.
  5. Report any safeguarding concerns using the school's referral procedures and safeguarding policies.
The Candidate
  1. Hold QTS/PGCE qualifications with experience in your chosen teaching field.
  2. Care deeply about the education and wellbeing of children and young people, enjoying working within a school setting.
  3. Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff to foster an effective learning environment.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Confidence in managing a classroom and handling behaviour issues.
  6. Flexible and adaptable to different lessons and year groups.
  7. Have the right to work in the UK.

Pay rates include statutory holiday pay of 12.07%. This is a temporary position, with potential for permanent roles in the future.
