Cygnet is recruiting a Qualified Psychologist for our Gledholt site in the UK. This part-time role (30 hours per week across 4 days) focuses on Clinical/Forensic/Counselling psychology to support adults with complex needs in a residential service.

You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team, deliver assessments and therapies, and contribute to service development. The post offers competitive pay up to £41,600 per annum DOE, with fully paid training, DBS, discounts, and progression opportunities.

• Experienced Psychologist with adult mental health focus

Responsabilidades

• Carry out psychological assessments and provide therapy to individuals and groups
• Work systemically with staff and directly with service users

• Support clinical, nursing and direct care teams in risk evaluations and decisions
• Evaluate the service and contribute to its development and carry out clinical research

Gledholt is an enhanced community residential service providing outcome focused support for adults with learning disabilities, who may have behaviours that challenge and associated complex needs.

Your day-to-day…

• Carry out psychological assessments & provide therapy to individuals & groups
• Work systemically with staff, as well as directly with service users
• Consult with staff, families & other agencies about the psychological care of the client group
• Offer psychological insight & knowledge to the multidisciplinary team
• Support the clinical, nursing & direct care teams in making skilled evaluations & decisions about risk
• Evaluate the service, contribute to its development & carry out clinical research.

We are looking for someone who is…

• An experienced Psychologist, ideally with an adult mental health client group
• Experienced in working as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Knowledgeable of mental health legislation, risk assessment & risk management principles
• Preferably trained in complex therapies such as Schema focused, Cognitive Analytical & DBT
• Passionate about working with people with a range of complex mental health needs
• Capable of treating difficulties such as self-harm, physical & verbal aggression, history of sexual offending & drug & alcohol problems
• An excellent communicator.
