Job summary

Overview

Location

NHS Doncaster Talking Therapies (core) service is based in Doncaster.

Role Purpose

Recruit a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP) to deliver high quality evidence-based psychological therapy to people with common mental health problems.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver low intensity psychological interventions to patients with mild to moderate anxiety and depression via face to face, telephone, video, typed therapy (e-clinic) and group therapy.
  • Accept referrals within agreed protocols, assess and support people with common mental health problems in self‑management of recovery.
  • Undertake patient‑centred assessments, identify risk to self and others, decide suitability of new referrals, refer unsuitable clients appropriately.
  • Engage in regular clinical and case management supervision, clinical skills sessions, attend additional training as required.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Completed a Talking Therapies (former IAPT) PWP course.
  • Experience working in a Primary Care setting, preferably a Talking Therapies service.
  • Registration with BABCP or BPS, or working towards relevant registration.
Working Conditions

This is not a remote only position; the post holder must work from the office base and in various venues across the locality, with essential ability to travel. The post holder will also have the opportunity to work from home a few days a week.
