Qualified Person (QP)

What you will do
We are looking for an experienced Qualified Person to join our quality team to support the batch release of products manufactured on our site. This role is pivotal not only in the batch release but also in helping the team to drive a quality culture across the organisation.
The position will be responsible for the release of a complex portfolio of products centered around the treatment of pain, addiction, and critical care. At Ethypharm we manufacture oral liquids, sterile ampoules, and pre-filled syringes.

Skills and qualifications

  • Eligible to act as a Qualified Person under Directive 75/319/EC (2001/83/EC)
  • A minimum of 3 years previous experience as a certifying QP
  • Proven experience working in a manufacturing environment, within a sterile and/or aseptic environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Previous experience supporting regulatory inspections (MHRA, FDA)
  • Operational experience within a Pharmaceutical manufacturing or laboratory setting is desirable

A Qualified Person (QP) must have strong integrity, attention to detail, and excellent decision-making skills to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safeguard patient safety. Effective communication, teamwork, and adaptability are essential for collaborating with cross-functional teams and responding to industry changes.

Working hours information

  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5pm

Ethypharm supplies medicines to a wide range of health care systems, notably in the UK where we have over 100 different products on contract to supply to the NHS including Commercial Medicines Units, hospital pharmacists, wholesalers, retail pharmacy buying groups and retail pharmacy chains. We also provide medicines to psychiatrists, GPs, doctors, nurses and ex-drug users all of whom are involved in prescribing and providing services to patients.

Our Romford facilities are located 20 miles from the centre of London and consist of over 6700 square metres of a high-quality, modern pharmaceutical facility where we mix, fill, sterilise, inspect, pack, and label a wide range of medicines.
