Qualified PE Teacher – Secondary School – Leicester

GSL Education is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated PE Teacher to join a secondary school in Leicester. This is a fantastic temporary-to-permanent opportunity for the right candidate, offering the chance to inspire students through physical education and sport.

Role Overview:

As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic lessons across KS3 and KS4, promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and a lifelong love for sport. You will plan and assess lessons effectively, ensuring all students are motivated and challenged in their learning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality PE lessons that encourage participation and skill development.
  • Plan and lead a range of sports and physical activities.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Promote teamwork, resilience, and healthy lifestyles among students.
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities, including school sports teams and clubs.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • A degree in Physical Education or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching KS3 and KS4 PE in a UK secondary school.
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Pay to scale, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Ongoing support from a dedicated GSL Education consultant.
