About the Role:
We are looking to appoint a passionate, dedicated, and qualified Science Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive science department at a well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Lewisham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a committed educator to inspire the next generation of scientists across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging, challenging, and well-structured Science lessons

• Teach across the Science curriculum (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) in line with the National Curriculum

• Use data and assessment effectively to monitor progress and support all learners

• Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment and extracurricular activities

• Maintain high standards of behaviour and engagement in the classroom

• Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and continuously improve outcomes

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant Science degree

• Strong subject knowledge in at least one science discipline

• Experience teaching Science at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable but not essential)

• Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to inclusive education

• A proactive and reflective approach to teaching and learning

• A genuine enthusiasm for science and a desire to ignite that passion in students
