Partou Bumpkins Day Nursery & Pre-school Royston is seeking a Level 2 Early Years qualified nursery practitioner to join as Lunchtime Cover Assistant on a flexible 15 hours per week, part-time role. You will support learning and development in line with EYFS, provide caring supervision at lunch, and help maintain a safe, inclusive environment across our two sites.

Nursery Lunchtime Cover Assistant – Partou Bumpkins Day Nursery & Pre-school

Royston | Part-Time | Permanent

Salary £13.40 per hour

About The Role

Partou Bumpkins Day Nursery & Pre-school is seeking a Level 2 Early Years qualified nursery practitioner to take on the flexible 15 hours per week role of Lunchtime Cover Assistant. You will work towards ensuring children engage in stimulating activities that support their learning and development in line with the EYFS. You will provide exceptional care and compassion towards the children, maintain a safe and inclusive environment, and build strong partnerships with childcare colleagues and families. You'll play a key role in supporting our nursery team, stepping in to provide cover while our staff enjoy their well-deserved lunch break. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys the bustling energy of a nursery setting and thrives in a supportive role.

Our forest school, Nature Rangers, was shortlisted for Outdoor Learning Environment of the Year at the 2024, National NMT Nursery Awards. Pre-school children enjoy free-flow access to this incredible outdoor space which covers all seven areas of the EYFS. You will work towards ensuring children engage in stimulating activities that support their learning and development in line with the EYFS. You will provide exceptional care and compassion towards the children, maintain a safe and inclusive environment, and build strong partnerships with childcare colleagues and families. We operate across two sites with dedicated environments for each age group and parking at both locations.
