Our thriving secondary school in Basildon is seeking a talented and dedicated MFL teacher, with a specialism in French, to join our vibrant and supportive team.
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic MFL teacher who can deliver high-quality French lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ability to teach an additional language is desirable but not essential. You will be expected to take full responsibility for planning, teaching, assessment, and the pastoral care of students, helping them to achieve their full potential in language learning.
Deliver engaging, well-structured French lessons that inspire and challenge students
Plan and prepare schemes of work in line with the curriculum
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress to inform next steps
Create a positive classroom environment that promotes a love for languages
Contribute to the wider life of the MFL department and the school community
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) and relevant degree in MFL (French specialism)
Proven experience teaching French at secondary level, ideally up to GCSE
A commitment to high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement
Excellent classroom management skills and a proactive approach to professional development
A passion for languages and the ability to inspire students from diverse backgrounds
