Qualified Mental Health Professional – QMHP – Intensive In-Home worker

We are seeking a passionate, collaborative, Intensive In home worker to join our growing team of professionals as we serve the community by providing home-based clinical support. The Intensive in home worker plans and implements interventions for children and their families, specifically focusing on children with DSM 5 Diagnosis.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce individualized service plans, monthly, weekly and session progress notes and discharge plan.
  • Provide children and family support through individualized interventions including anger management, techniques to reduce impulsivity and aggression, grief issues, parenting education and to increase positive coping skills.
  • Provide case management and service coordination, as well as serve as role model for child and family to learn socially effective behaviors and interventions.
  • Provide emergency response and crisis intervention as needed.
  • The work requires travel, working evening hours and weekend hours to meet the family’s needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, social work , psychology or related field
  • Plus one year of clinical experience in working directly with clients, children and adults who have mental health issues. Preferred.
  • QMHP-A and/or QMHP- C or QMHP-T preferred, or training provided for those eligible
  • Must be eligible for QMHP status with Virginia Board of Counseling
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Other Job and Training Requirements
  • Maintain CPR and first aid certification
  • Maintain Behavior Management training
  • Valid drivers license and maintain a good driving record
  • Child abuse screening and criminal history background check
