THE OPPORTUNITY

Prospero Teaching is looking for a Qualified English and Maths Outreach Tutor to deliver bespoke education packages on a 1:1 basis to young people who are not attending school.

As an Outreach Tutor, you must be able to create, plan, and deliver tailored 1:1 lessons to bridge gaps in pupils' education and boost engagement and attainment levels. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced teacher seeking to step away from the traditional classroom to offer more personalized, engaging lessons.

Many of these pupils may have been out of education for some time, resulting in low confidence levels. Your role will be to re-engage them in learning and help re-establish a structured daily routine.

Prospero Teaching will work closely with you to monitor each pupil's progress and support effective learning.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

• Location: Oldham and surrounding areas
• Position: Outreach English and Maths Tutor
• Type of work: Contract
• Start date: ASAP
• Duration: Dependent on each student
• Contract type: Temporary
• Full time/part time: Depending on availability
• Minimum rate of pay: GBP25 per hour
• Working hours: Minimum 1 hour per session, maximum 3 hours per session

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND QUALIFICATIONS

• QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
• 6+ months experience working in a UK school
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable but not essential)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
• Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years
