Overview of Role:

D2 Global is seeking a skilled and proactive Management Accountant to oversee end-to-end finance operations and ensure the financial health of the business. This role offers a broad depth of accounting exposure within a dynamic international company that has ambitious growth plans.

You will work closely with the Head of Finance and be supported by an Assistant Management Accountant, providing you with the opportunity to drive innovation in standard accounting procedures. Based in the city centre, this position offers an exciting opportunity for professional growth and involvement in the strategic financial planning of a rapidly expanding organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage budgeting, reforecasting, and departmental budget consolidation processes.
  • Produce management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journals.
  • Create period reporting in line with Network Rail time periods and monthly accounting cycles.
  • Provide back-office support for accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and cash flow monitoring.
  • Perform balance sheet, bank, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Process supplier payments and handle related queries.
  • Oversee customer invoices and business services applications.
  • Provide financial insights and monitor financial health against KPIs and forecasts.
  • Liaise with auditors, HMRC, and external suppliers, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Assist in year-end accounts preparation and tax submissions (VAT, PAYE, corporation tax).
  • Maintain Sage Intacct for accurate postings and reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement in accounting practices and provide ad-hoc business performance reports.
  • Review and approve payroll, purchase ledger, and accounts receivable.
  • Manage team objectives and provide training support.

Requirements:

  • Final stage or qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Management Accounts creation and development
  • Cashflow Management and forecasting
  • Sage experience (Purchase orders, raising invoices)
  • Payroll Processing &/or management
  • Excellent IT skills.
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge
  • Excellent organisation and time-management.
  • Experience in financial auditing

Desirable:

  • Intercompany processing, consolidation of group accounts
