Job Title: Qualified Geography Teacher

Location:

East of England, Essex, South Benfleet

Job Type:

Permanent, expected to work full-time hours

Primary Industry:

Job Duties:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Geography to students
• Assess and evaluate students' progress, providing feedback and support where necessary
• Create engaging and innovative lesson plans that cater to different learning styles
• Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment in the classroom
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop the curriculum and improve teaching practises
• Participate in school events and parent-teacher meetings as required

Required Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Degree in Geography or a related field
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for Geography education

Education:

Degree in Geography or a related field

Experience:

Previous experience teaching Geography at secondary school level

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to engage and motivate students
• Understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Geography

Preferred Qualifications:

• Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with Geography as a specialism
• Additional training or qualifications related to Geography education

Working Conditions:

The role involves working full-time hours in a secondary school environment, following the school calendar and timetable. Occasional participation in extracurricular activities and events may be required.
