Job Description:
CLC provides a national property maintenance service to a wide variety of clients in social housing, education, retail, commercial, and hotel and leisure sectors.
Specification:
The suitable candidate should have the following qualifications & qualities:
- Minimum City & Guilds Level 3
- 18th Edition
- Relevant experience within the electrical contracting industry
- Current CSCS / ECS card
- Conversant with all aspects of electrical installations and have significant experience within Retail, Industrial, and Commercial sectors
- Testing & Inspection to 2391-52 (or Equivalent)
- A knowledge of BMS, Fire Alarm & Data installations preferred but not essential
- SSSTS or SMSTS preferred but not essential
Qualifications:
- Approved Electrician/ Electrician JIB recognised qualifications
- Proven experience in electrical work, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and current regulations
- Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and management team
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Proficient in reading layouts, drawings, schematics, and technical drawings
- Familiarity with electrical test equipment and hand tools
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work in diverse environments
Description:
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of electricians and oversee their work to ensure high-quality installations, repairs, and maintenance
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project requirements and timelines
- Plan and organise work schedules, assignments, and resources to meet project deadlines
- Perform electrical installations, troubleshooting, and repairs as needed
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
- Train and mentor apprentices and junior electricians, fostering skill development and a culture of continuous learning
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked
- Manage inventory of materials and tools, and coordinate procurement as necessary
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently
- Carry out testing, inspection, and produce electrical certificates
