Job Description:

CLC provides a national property maintenance service to a wide variety of clients in social housing, education, retail, commercial, and hotel and leisure sectors.

Specification:

The suitable candidate should have the following qualifications & qualities:

  • Minimum City & Guilds Level 3
  • 18th Edition
  • Relevant experience within the electrical contracting industry
  • Current CSCS / ECS card
  • Conversant with all aspects of electrical installations and have significant experience within Retail, Industrial, and Commercial sectors
  • Testing & Inspection to 2391-52 (or Equivalent)
  • A knowledge of BMS, Fire Alarm & Data installations preferred but not essential
  • SSSTS or SMSTS preferred but not essential
Qualifications:
  • Approved Electrician/ Electrician JIB recognised qualifications
  • Proven experience in electrical work, with a strong understanding of electrical systems and current regulations
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Strong communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and management team
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Proficient in reading layouts, drawings, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Familiarity with electrical test equipment and hand tools
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work in diverse environments
Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of electricians and oversee their work to ensure high-quality installations, repairs, and maintenance
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand project requirements and timelines
  • Plan and organise work schedules, assignments, and resources to meet project deadlines
  • Perform electrical installations, troubleshooting, and repairs as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
  • Train and mentor apprentices and junior electricians, fostering skill development and a culture of continuous learning
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and hours worked
  • Manage inventory of materials and tools, and coordinate procurement as necessary
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical issues efficiently
  • Carry out testing, inspection, and produce electrical certificates
