Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week, flexible working options available

Salary: £29,970 - £36,483 per annum, pro-rata

About the role

We are seeking a qualified educational mental health practitioner to join our friendly and supportive team based in Fenland. The successful candidate will work within a multi-disciplinary team to provide mental health support to children and young people in educational settings, promoting wellbeing and embedding mental health initiatives.

Key responsibilities
  1. Develop and deliver evidence-based interventions to children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
  2. Conduct holistic assessments, including risk assessments, and support rapid access to specialist services when needed.
  3. Support educational staff in identifying and managing mental health issues.
  4. Maintain accurate records and participate in multi-disciplinary meetings.
  5. Promote inclusive practice respecting diversity and safeguarding protocols.
Qualifications and experience
  • Successful completion of the HEE commissioned 1-year EMHP course.
  • Teaching qualification and Youth Mental Health First Aid trained preferred.
  • Experience working with children and young people, including delivering therapeutic interventions such as CBT or solution-focused therapy.
Skills and knowledge
  • Ability to carry out mental health assessments and risk management.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, families, and educational staff.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
