We are seeking to recruit a qualified educational mental health practitioner. The position is permanent, full-time, and based in Fenland within the existing mental health support team. We are a friendly and supportive team dedicated to providing effective services as part of a multidisciplinary, multi-agency approach.

Job Description

The postholder, with appropriate supervision, will work as an autonomous and responsible practitioner, engaging in:

  1. Developing and delivering evidence-based interventions under supervision to children, young people, parents, and carers in educational or community settings experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
  2. Collaborating with a team of mental health professionals to deliver a range of evidence-informed interventions under supervision.
  3. Conducting holistic and child-centered mental health assessments, including risk assessments, under supervision.
  4. Supporting children and young people with more severe issues to access specialist services promptly.
  5. Supporting and facilitating staff in educational settings to identify and manage mental health and wellbeing issues where appropriate.
  6. Utilizing EMHP skills, knowledge, and abilities to deliver services within educational settings that complement existing initiatives.
