Bright Horizons Nottingham is hiring a flexible Nursery Practitioner for our Nottingham site. You will support EYFS delivery, engage children in educational activities, and work with a team to complete daily tasks including room setup and tidying.

The role offers Bank/flexible hours with 20-hour shifts across five days or other bank hours. You should hold a Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification and have prior experience with children.

• Qualified Early Years practitioner with Level 2/3 or higher.
• Experience working with children in nursery or related setting.
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for children.
• Able to communicate clearly with children and adults.
• Strong safeguarding awareness and practices.
• Flexible and adaptable to shift patterns.

Salary – £12.99 - £13.50 per hour (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

The Role

Working as part of our Bright Flex / Bank team, you can blend the convenience of bank/ agency work, with the security and benefits of being an employee – giving you the best of both worlds!

Within this role, you will support colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in entertaining and educational activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones. You will also work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day‑to‑day tasks are completed, such as room tidying and preparation.

What we’re looking for

• Full and relevant Level 2 or 3 or above Early Years qualification

• Previous experience working with children – Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar

• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child

• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults

• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding

• Ability to be flexible and adaptable
