Job summary

Bright Horizons Eddington Day Nursery and Preschool in Cambridge is seeking a flexible Nursery Practitioner to join our Bright Flex/Bank team. You will support delivery of the EYFS through engaging activities and help the team with daily tasks such as tidying and preparation.

Qualifications

• Full and relevant Level 2/3 or above Early Years qualification.
• Experience as Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny or similar.
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with children and adults.
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a flexible working practitioner to join our Bright Flex / Bank team at our Eddington Nursery which is located in an award-winning, sustainable housing estate with excellent links to Cambridge town centre by bus, car, and bike. We provide a staff room with kitchen facilities for relaxation, as well as a separate lounge for enjoying lunch and socializing. Toiletries and treats are also stocked for our staff. Additionally, free parking is available.

The Role

Working as part of our Bright Flex / Bank team, you can blend the convenience of bank/ agency work, with the security and benefits of being an employee – giving you the best of both worlds!

Within this role, you will support colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS through engaging children in entertaining and educational activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones. You will also work as part of a larger team to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed, such as room tidying and preparation.

What We’re Looking For

• Full and relevant Level 2/3 or above Early Years qualification
• Previous experience working with children – Nursery Practitioner, Nursery Nurse, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
• Sound understanding of child protection and safeguarding
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable
