Job description

This well-established company is looking for an experienced Qualified Dispensing Optician to join their close-knit team. You will be joining a large successful practice on the high street in Warminster, Wiltshire, where you will be well supported by a big team who all work together.

Working within this large, modern equipped store and well-supported team, you will be able to demonstrate first and foremost excellent customer service as well as a high level of sales ability.

Salary – Up to £30,000
Team based bonus – Approx £1,000

Responsibilities of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

1. The role will primarily involve you being a senior member of the team on the shop floor in the dispensing team. You will also be conducting pre-screen tests and contact lens teaches.
2. The role will also involve a training aspect; supporting the team, developing the practice, and monitoring remakes.
3. This person is also required to carry out frame styling and give patients advice on the best options.
4. Reception duties and general admin will also be a part of the role, helping with the smooth running of the practice.

Requirements of the Qualified Dispensing Optician

1. You must be GOC registered and up to date with CET points.
2. You will be a friendly, yet professional person who is able to work with and support a team while also creating relationships.
3. You will have previous optical experience and be competent in all dispensing as well as having a wide range of frames and lens knowledge.
4. You will handle the majority of children’s and complex dispensing and will use your expertise and clinical experience to troubleshoot and deal with any issues as they arise.

Compensation for the Qualified Dispensing Optician

1. A competitive salary package dependent on your experience, up to £30,000 is on offer along with a bonus scheme (approx. £1,000 per annum).
