A reputable healthcare provider in London is looking for a Qualified Dental Nurse to deliver high standards of clinical care and engage in ongoing professional development. The ideal candidate will maintain a clean environment, collaborate in a multidisciplinary team, and adhere to regulations set by the General Dental Council. Effective communication skills and the ability to train others are essential for this role.
Professional/Clinical Responsibilities
Act in accordance with the General Dental Council, relevant professional codes of practice, statutory guidelines, and be accountable for your actions at all times. Work clinically for at least 90% of contracted hours. Collaborate with the Senior Staff to ensure high standards of clinical care are delivered to patients. Undertake appropriate training to ensure competence and maintain skills. Keep the environment clutter-free, clean, and raise safety concerns for staff and patients.
Information Management
Input, store, and provide information in line with Trust Policy and legislation. Use appropriate methods for data collection and ensure data is stored securely for easy retrieval.
Education and Professional Development
Engage in ongoing professional development, participate in annual reviews, and stay updated with dental equipment and legislation. Maintain a professional portfolio, undertake mandatory training, and participate in practical training sessions. Promote a learning environment and support team development.
Communication
Communicate effectively with diverse groups, including patients, staff, and multidisciplinary teams. Act as a role model and assist with communication barriers. Participate in team meetings and promote open dialogue.
Health, Safety, and Security
Maintain knowledge of health and safety regulations, infection control, and emergency procedures. Promote a culture of safety, identify risks, and report issues to management.
Service Improvement
Contribute to clinical governance, review systems, and suggest improvements. Participate in team discussions and support change initiatives to enhance service quality.
