Job summary

Toothsome Dental Care Hounslow is seeking a qualified Dental Nurse to join our friendly, family-run practice in Hounslow. You will provide high-quality chairside support for NHS and private treatments and help maintain a smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

Qualifications

• Qualified Dental Nurse with current GDC registration.
• Experience in a dental practice.
• Excellent chairside nursing skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Competent IT skills and confidence using digital systems.
• Professional, reliable, and patient-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Providing full chairside support for NHS and private dental treatments
• Preparing and maintaining surgeries to a high clinical and hygiene standard
• Managing cross-infection control and decontamination procedures
• Sterilising instruments and ensuring HTM 01-05 compliance
• Maintaining accurate patient records and clinical notes
• Welcoming patients and providing a professional, friendly first point of contact
• Booking appointments and managing the practice diary
• Answering telephone enquiries and supporting reception duties
• Assisting with compliance requirements and maintaining documentation
• Using digital compliance systems and practice management software
• Working closely with clinicians and colleagues to support efficient daily operations

The Role

As a key member of our practice team, you will provide high-quality chairside assistance while helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice. We are seeking someone who can work independently, communicate effectively with patients, and maintain high clinical and professional standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing full chairside support for NHS and private dental treatments
• Preparing and maintaining surgeries to a high clinical and hygiene standard

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience working within a dental practice
• Excellent chairside nursing skills

• Strong organisational and administrative abilities
• Competent IT skills and confidence using digital systems
• Professional, reliable, and patient-focused approach

Desirable

• Experience using SOE (Software of Excellence)
• Experience within a mixed NHS and private practice
• Knowledge of dental compliance systems and processes

• Competitive hourly rate of £14.00 to £16.00 per hour, depending on experience
