Qualified Dental Nurse/ Float Band 4

An exciting opportunity has arisen to apply for a dental nurse role within the dental institute in a multi-disciplinary dental hospital.

The post holders will be part of the Dental Nurse Service, responsible for providing high-quality care and demonstrating strong clinical dental nursing skills. They will work with the Senior Dental Nurse to ensure an efficient and effective service, maintaining Health and Safety and cross-infection policies.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work as part of a team. Successful applicants will be responsible for their allocated clinics, ensuring standards are met, and will need to handle pressure positively with a professional and flexible approach.

The working hours are from 8:45 am to 5:15 pm, Monday to Friday. The post holder may be required to work across all King's sites and departments as necessary.

Main duties of the job

  • Provide high-quality dental nursing care for all patients, including those with special needs, vulnerable groups, and challenging behaviours.
  • Assist in chairside support across various dental specialties, supporting clinicians at all levels, including students and experienced practitioners.
  • Assist in the daily operations of the department.
  • Maintain high standards of cross-infection control.
  • Supervise and train trainee dental nurses.
  • Cover sickness and absence across departments as needed.
