Job Opportunity: Dental Nurse

An opportunity has arisen for a Dental Nurse to join our team in the Head and Neck Outpatients department at the Royal Derby Hospital. We are seeking a flexible and motivated Dental Nurse to become part of our busy Maxillofacial and Orthodontic Team.

This position is based at the Royal Derby Hospital site, with potential cross-site working. Candidates must be registered with the General Dental Council. Orthodontic experience is highly desirable but not essential, as training will be provided. This role offers a chance to gain experience and expand your knowledge within the specialty.

Applicants should demonstrate good communication skills, a commitment to high-quality care, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Strong prioritization skills and the ability to liaise confidentially with staff from various disciplines are essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team
  2. Assist orthodontic consultants, registrars, and therapists during consultations and treatments
  3. Support minor operation sessions
  4. Assist in various clinics including Maxillofacial, Oncology, Restorative, Cleft Lip and Palate, Orthognathic, and ENT clinics
