Job summary

Selly Oak Dental Practice, part of the Rodericks Dental Partners network, is seeking a qualified Dental Nurse to join our team in Birmingham. This 38-hour per week role includes Saturdays and involves assisting dentists, preparing instruments, and maintaining high infection-control standards.

You will support patients through their visits, help manage records, and contribute to a welcoming, professional environment across our growing practice in Selly Oak.

Qualifications

• Qualified and GDC-registered Dental Nurse.
• Confident and professional communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Comfortable working in a clinical environment including procedures with blood or surgical treatments.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a wide range of clinical procedures.
• Prepare and maintain instruments, equipment and materials.
• Uphold infection control standards and surgery cleanliness.
• Provide reassurance and support to patients throughout their visit.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage administrative tasks.
• Promote oral health and dental care products to patients.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist dentists during a wide range of clinical procedures
• Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and materials
• Uphold high standards of infection control and surgery cleanliness
• Provide reassurance and support to patients throughout their visit
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage administrative tasks
• Promote and advise patients on oral health and dental care products
• Play an important role in creating a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for patients and the team
