About the role

The Qualified Customer Driver role is for individuals passionate about customer service. Customer Drivers are key to setting a new standard for rail in the 21st Century, focusing on safety, health, and environmental sustainability.

Primary responsibilities include operating trains safely, maintaining punctuality, ensuring safety and security, providing excellent customer service, and promoting the Lumo-Stirling brand to deliver a memorable customer experience.

About you

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently in a safety-focused environment.
  • Ability to follow safety instructions meticulously.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working within strict procedures.
  • Enjoy assisting colleagues and customers, prioritizing safety and service.

You must be a qualified Customer Driver with a European Train Driving Licence, capable of driving 222 trains, with training provided for other types. You should be able to operate tablets and electronic devices and hold a valid DBS check.

Minimum requirements:

  • Age 21 or older (industry requirement).
  • European Train Driving Licence.
  • Reside within 60 minutes of Preston without public transport when unavailable.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and nights.
  • Willingness to train on various train types.

Location

Must live within a 60-minute commute to Preston.
