Children’s Social Worker – North East Lincolnshire Council - Up to £35ph

Location: North East Lincolnshire Council
Salary: Up to £35 per hour
Position: Full-Time, Temporary/Contract

Job Description:

This is a Safer Recruitment role, please ensure compliance.

Main duties include undertaking statutory Child and Family assessments, managing children subject to child in need, child protection, and looked after children care plans. Responsible for all Children Social Care statutory requirements, with a preferable understanding of EHCP and SEND. The role will be fully supported by a highly experienced Practice Supervisor and Service Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

• Children with Disability Social Worker needed.
• Ability to undertake Children and Families assessment CA 89 and knowledge of the Chronically Sick and Disabled Act.
• Provide Child in Need and children requiring protection with adequate plans, including chairing relevant meetings.
• Possess good communication skills and the ability to engage with children and young people who may experience communication difficulties.
• Assess risks to children with disabilities.
• Identify short break services.
• Manage Children in Care and maintain care plans.
• Undertake court work as necessary.
• Provide young adults with Transition Plans.

Requirements:

• Must be 3 years post-qualified to comply with the new agency rules.
• Social Work England registered without any annotations or restrictions on practice.
• Office-based assignment.
• Full Driver's license and vehicle essential.
