Job description

Location: Coventry, Warwickshire, and Northamptonshire

The Vacancy

We are hiring Children’s Social Workers for our Private and/or Public Law teams.

As a Children’s Social Worker (also known professionally as Family Court Adviser), you will be involved in cases where families need assistance to agree on welfare and safety arrangements for children or where the local authority requests Cafcass involvement due to serious concerns.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting assessments and directly engaging with children to understand and represent their views and wishes in court.
  • Applying expertise in risk assessment and mediation to advocate for arrangements that prioritize the best interests of the children.

Who we’re looking for

  • You must be registered with the Social Work England regulator.
  • Ideally, you have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with children and families in social work.
  • Experience with Family Court proceedings and knowledge of Private and/or Public Law is advantageous.
  • You should be organized, resilient, able to work independently, and capable of managing your workload effectively.

Location

While these roles are based in our Coventry office covering Coventry, Warwickshire, and Northamptonshire, our teams work flexibly and remotely. Your proximity to the office is not always critical, allowing you to work in a way that suits you best.
